1. Financial Secretary 

PRINCIPAL FUNCTION:

Receive, record, and deposit all funds taken into the church treasury, and forward information to the Church Treasurer and Board of Trustees for use in support of the mission and ministry of the congregation

REQUIREMENTS:

    • Knowledgeable and proficient in bookkeeping methods and strategies

    • Experienced with how church budgets are formed and operated

    • Able to work efficiently with Sr. Pastor as well as ministry and office staff

    • Honest and trustworthy regarding all matters of church finances

    • Displays integrity in matters of private and personal information of church members.

    • Willing to learn and utilize all forms of available technology to enable better communication and efficiency with church staff and members

2. Interim Youth Minister Position

Objective:

The objective of the Interim Minister to Students is to grow and develop programs for Middle School, High School students with a priority on loving and leading our students into a growing relationship with Jesus.

Qualifications:

  • Evident relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • Bachelor's degree (or in progress of) in theology, biblical studies, or youth ministry.

  • Previous youth ministry experience.

  • Proficient understanding of challenges and needs of young people.

  • Excellent computer skills, and proficiency with social media.

  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Affinity for young people.

  • Ability to lead by example.

  • Available to work extended hours, evenings, over weekends and public holidays, and on short notice.

Responsibilities

Plan, initiate development strategies for Youth Program growth. Organize and lead Wednesday evening Youth activities. Communicate with Youth and College teachers.


3. Youth Ministries Summer Intern Opportunity
General Responsibilities: The intern will actively work with the High School, Middle School and Family Ministries at FBC. The general responsibilities for these ministries will include teaching, discipleship, admin, Bible Studies, contact time and events.  

Duration and Time Commitment:

  • Average 10 - 20hours / week, mid-May through mid-August, paid position.

Purpose:

  • Gain valuable youth ministry experience by assisting in outreach and spiritual formation of the Jr High and High School students.

  • Be mentored by and accountable to church staff.

  • Be submerged in the life of the congregation in order to learn about the integration of youth ministry with congregational life.

  • Discover the relationship of the youth worker with parents, church and community leaders, and the congregation as a whole.

  • Learn about balancing the demands of ministry with personal spiritual development, friendships, and the other responsibilities of life.
