Dear Friend,
For whatever reason you find yourself visiting this web site, our Family wants to be sure you know...
You are Welcome at First Baptist Church !
Regardless of your age, interests, or Christian experience, we are growing to serve you at First Baptist - Baton Rouge. We are continually striving to meet the needs of people in our community. Our "people centered" ministry allows us to adapt as Christians to life's changes, and offer ministries tailored to each member of God's family.
With the addition of our Bluebonnet campus, we now have twice the ministry, twice the opportunity, and a place for everyone... that means you! You may worship in a more traditional style downtown, or visit our Bluebonnet campus for a more progressive approach. Both locations offer relevant Bible Study and activities designed to meet the needs of people just like you. When will you join us?
My family and I urge you to continue the journey of life with us at FBC.
There's room for you in our family.
In Christ,
Burn Page, Ph.D.

Favorite Scripture:
|
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
--Jeremiah 29:11
|
Ministry Goal: |
My goal is to help people develop a relationship with Jesus Christ so that they will be able to focus on making a life more than on making a living. |
Favorite aspect of FBC: |
that being a member of this church gives me the opportunity to be a part of something that will have eternal significance. |
Favorite Ministry Memory: |
During Vacation Bible School one summer, I was talking to a group of children and trying to explain biblical terms like God's love, mercy and grace and man's sin. Wanting to know if I was communicating that which I intended to, I asked the children if anyone had heard the word "sin" and if they could tell me what a "sinner" was. One little boy raised his hand and enthusiastically responded, "He's the guy who snaps the ball to the quarter-back!" |
