College
Here at FBC, we genuinely care about our college students, and are looking forward to a great year! We know that college can be tough on your spiritual life. One of the most important choices you can make is to get involved with a local church. Research shows that about 70% of students who grew up in church quit going when they go to college, and most of them never return. Making the choice NOW to stay involved in a church will make it easier to choose to stay in church when life gets tough. Come check us out and see if FBC is the church for you!
We are supportive of the Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) here in the Baton Rouge area, and we also have several opportunities for Bible Study and fellowship each week.
On Sundays, we have Sunday School taught by Woody Thames at 9:30 am in the FBC College Room on the third floor. Worship is at 11:00 am in the sanctuary.
On Wednesday, join our minister to college students, Larkin Harris, for Lunch at the 5 between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.
Wednesday evenings, enjoy a FREE home-cooked meal at 5:00 pm in the fellowship hall, followed by College Bible Study at 6:15 pm in the College Room.
We also have many other events and activities throughout the year, giving us the opportunity to have fun, fellowship, and study God's Word together as believers. Stay tuned to the calendar of events for more info on upcoming activities!
